God has blessed our church with a diverse and multi-cultural community. Every year, we have the chance to enjoy fellowship with students from all around the world during their stay in the US.
Light of Life Children's Home - Kenya
Mission: Although we are a small orphanage in a rural, semi-arid County in Kenya, here at Light of Life Children’s Home we are a place of hope and safety. The orphanage provides children with the best possible opportunity to grow in a healthy, safe, warm, and family-like environment. Most of the children came to our Home around 7+ years of age, yet had never attended a day of school. They are all in school and exceling, having not only learned to read and write, but some are even top scorers in class issued examinations. The younger students attend the local public school that is a short walking distance from our home and the now, five high schoolers qualified to attend competitive boarding schools based on their good Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (K.C.P.E) scores! It fills us with great joy as we watch our children grow in strength of mind, body and most importantly in their Christian faith. All of us (staff and children) attend the local Africa Inland Church every Sunday and spend time encouraging spiritual study because we believe that the truest treasure in life is the unfailing Love of God in Christ!
Vision: Light of Life’s vision is based on the words of Christ in John 8:12 “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
